Ok…here’s the story.
Josh is on break because he has a brand spankin’ new little girl (who is absolutely adorable!)
Tom has taken on the responsibility of being IL’s bass player…and is doing a fantastic job!
Josh will be missed so much! I’ve actually never been in a band without him…this is Juice by the way…and I know that the rest of the band agrees with me. He is a founding member of Independent Louis and has contributed his talents to all of our writing/recordings.
Josh stepping down forced us to really look at (or listen to) our music and decide why we do this in the first place. Mike, Tom, Jay, and myself love writing music. We all love setting goals and we love working towards something that seems to be just out of reach. While Josh shares all of these traits with us, him being gone is certainly not enough to make us give that up.
The result of this transition is almost a redefining of our sound. We have incorperated a lot more acoustic guitar and written a bunch of new songs perfectly fit for a four-piece band. We all wish Josh was with us but are equally excited about what this change may bring.
